In a very black/white or right/wrong kind of world is exhausting when you almost entirely see it in Grey. Being so malleable, feels and sometimes looks like you are on the fence not taking a stand for anything. That is not the case; taking a stand for something or against something and seeing or understanding how someone else arrived at their perspective doesn't mean we lessen our views. Our views don't get altered just because someone else is at a different conclusion. We accept they are there, usually very aware of why it is they are there. It can be quite aggravating to always see someone else's perspective, especially when a topic is very much emotionally charged. It is unnerving to not be able to be mad at someone when you know how it is they arrived there and why they don't agree with you.
The irritating/aggravating issue is not as intense as it used to be. With age comes some wisdom in who we are and what we are intuitively meant to handle. Accepting those traits about ourselves is half the battle, the other half is being able to extinguish or water down the fiery passion of an emotional response.
